Language boost!

While I have studied French and spoken it in France (and been understood!), it's been several years since I've done so. I went searching on the web for some brush-up tools. I found a great resource put out by the BBC that covers 33 languages, from Spanish to Albanian to Hindi. I'm currently working through their French challenge, which involves reading and responding to spoken French. I'm doing well so far!

No, we're ALL going!

I was telling my mother about the trip. She sounded very happy for us as she is a world traveler. However, although sh'es been to Africa and China and Russia and the Galapagos and Ireland etc etc etc, she hasn't been back to Paris since she was in college. So I asked her if she's like to join us.

So now we are three!

Ok, I mean WE'RE going to Paris

... I told my daughter about the trip, and she sounded so excited about it that I invited her to come along. We've been to Europe together before, so I know she's a great traveler - much improved since she was 5! - and I think we'll have a great time together.

I'm going to Paris!

I have a big birthday coming up, and I've been saving money to return to two of my favorite places in the world - Paris and Provence!
I'll talk about why I love these two magical places later - for now, I'm just so excited that I'm going back again!
